The Yona day pass: sessions, seats and how the credit works
Morning or afternoon?
They are different products sharing a pool. The morning session is the quiet one — Josh’s review called it “more chill” — with young children allowed, about 1,500 THB of credit on the pass and last check-in around noon. The afternoon is the one the marketing photos come from: adults only, about 2,000 THB of credit, the DJ building from mid-afternoon into sunset, last check-in around 17:00. Photo ID is required for the afternoon and the venue does check it — the fine print is at age policy. Honeymooners and hen parties both want the afternoon; anyone with a toddler wants the morning, and that is not a downgrade.
Where you sit
A standard pass covers pool access and general seating. The reserved tiers run from sea beds and pool beds for one or two people, through sofas for up to four, to three cabana sizes: small (1–4, ~8,000 THB credit), medium (1–5, ~10,000 THB) and maxi (1–7, ~14,000 THB). Two practical notes from the reviews: the pool beds sit in full sun, so bring proper sunscreen — more on that at what to bring — and on busy high-season days the good spots go early, which is the argument for reserving rather than hoping.
How the credit works
Your pass price is mostly a tab that spends against the restaurant and the four bars: sharing plates, sushi, pizzas, Thai classics, cocktails on the rooftop. No outside food or drink comes aboard, so the credit is your food plan for the session. Johanna’s review is the pattern I recommend — she “couldn’t stop ordering” steadily through the day and went home with the credit spent. A realistic timeline
Arrive at the pier about 30 minutes before your slot — that buffer absorbs the dress-code check, which happens on land, before boarding. Smart casual gets you through; football shirts, cut-offs and gym wear do not, and I have watched people get turned around for exactly that. The rules are itemised at dress code. The shuttle runs about every 20 minutes and takes about ten; on board you get the welcome drink, find your seat, and the session unfolds from there — pool first, food against the credit, and in the afternoon the DJ set rising toward sunset on the terrace.
